Grow what's next. Grow your future. Corteva Agriscience is seeking an Artificial Intelligence in Breeding Intern for a 6-month internship based in Johnston, IA. As an AI in Breeding Intern you will lead, execute, and analyze projects that apply machine learning to guide gene editing and reveal the genetic potential of breeding germplasm. You will gain hands-on experience with large genomic and phenomic data sets and collaborate with experts in plant and data science.

Position will start in the Spring of 2026.

Responsibilities - What You'll Do:

• Work as part of a team to develop, train, test, and deploy AI tools that support gene editing decisions and germplasm characterization.

• Assist the AI in Breeding team in processing genetic and multi-sensor phenotypic data from lab and field experiments.

• Manage an independent project within the scope of AI in Breeding and present your findings to a wider Corteva audience at the conclusion of the internship.

Qualifications - What You'll Bring:

• Currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university.

• Field of study in Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Biology, or a related area.

• Proficiency in Python for data science tasks.

• Genetics background beneficial.

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.

• Must be enrolled at an accredited university at the time of internship.
