Role Description:
The Area Market Development (AMD) is accountable and responsible for proposing, managing, and executing on the plans to support business objectives specific to his / her assigned farmer base within the assigned district.  He / she is responsible for managing a team of market development officers (MDO) who is expected to be the executor of the demand generation plans relating to commercial programs and policies set by Demand Generation and New Commercialization Leads, Marketing Team and Customer Technology Specialist as aligned with the country business goal.

Key Responsibilities

Manages, implements and executes the agreed demand generation plans and processes (i.e. E2E sales campaign process, etc.) incl but not limited to the following:

  • Lead farmer network (i.e. Sahabat and Ibu Hebat) programs and future improvements.

  • Reviews, action planning and activity mapping to drive key market metrics.

  • Budget management and initiatives supporting improvements in MDO productivity and operational metrics.

  • Operationalize demand generation activities in support of a farm enterprise approach relevant to his / her assigned district.

  • Implementation and adoption of agreed digital interactions with farmers that would drive OTG, conversion and / or retention.

Identifies potential risks and bottlenecks between retailer and farmer coverage and works with DSL/SSR/BDO to propose mitigation / remediation plans to ensure delivery of financial and operating metrics of their district and zone.

Collect and drive transparency of market and competitive information through existing digital enablers, processes (e.g. dipstick surveys) and platforms that would improve productivity and farmer engagement ROI.

Work with Business Analyst & Commercial Effectiveness and Category Managers to develop, optimize, maintain and propose market metric targets and corresponding programs that would support differential farmer segments approach and their corresponding objectives.

Collaborate with Customer Technology Specialist and CPD&D Team to provide technical, enablement and capability development of MDO.

Records progress and execute on performance evaluation processes & actions of MDO (e.g. 9 Box, etc.)
