Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the lead soil expert for our commercial organization, helping customers optimize their practices and understand the value of our solutions. Secondarily, you will apply your agronomic knowledge to support our Carbon program.

As an independent contributor, you will act as the critical bridge between technical soil science and commercial application. Your core function will be to translate complex agronomic data into clear, compelling value propositions that empower customer decisions, strengthen our commercial offerings, and advance our business goals in soil health and carbon.

What You'll Do:

Your responsibilities are primarily centered on providing expert soil science support to our commercial organization and customers, with secondary duties in carbon program management.

Soil Science & Commercial Support

  • Serve as the primary soil science and fertility expert for the commercial organization, supporting our sales teams and directly engaging with key customers to address their challenges and inquiries.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of on-farm grower trials designed to generate data-driven insights that demonstrate the value of our products and practices related to soil health and nutrient management.
  • Analyze trial data to create compelling, actionable recommendations that help customers optimize product placement and agronomic practices, ultimately driving sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop technical marketing materials, best practice guides, and sales tools based on trial outcomes to equip our commercial teams and empower growers with valuable, decision-making information.
  • Manage strategic university collaborations to validate product performance and sustainable practices, enhancing our market credibility and providing third-party validation for our commercial offerings.

Carbon Program Manager

  • Define and execute the annual agronomic and commercial strategy for Corteva's Carbon program to ensure its continued success.
  • Act as the main agronomic authority and point of contact for key customers, building strong relationships and guiding their participation in the program.
  • Oversee the end-to-end process for annual data collection, reporting, and vesting payments to ensure all requirements are met, deadlines are hit, and reports are accurately delivered.
  • Continuously research and analyze emerging trends and pathways for conservation incentives, translating this market knowledge into strategic recommendations for the program and our customers.

What You'll Need:

  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Soil Science, Agronomy, or a closely related field with a demonstrated emphasis on soil health, fertility, or agronomy.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in agronomy, soil science, or a related commercial/technical role.
  • Deep understanding of experimental design, statistical analysis, and complex data interpretation.
  • Understanding of soil carbon dynamics, agricultural carbon markets, and related sustainability practices is a significant asset.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple complex projects and meet firm deadlines.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to translate complex scientific concepts into practical, actionable advice for diverse audiences.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively as an independent contributor and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel on occasion to support on-farm grower trials and stakeholder engagements.
