We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Supervisor to join our team at our St. Joesph, Illinois production facility!

 

Position Overview:  The Administrative Services Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the administrative support team, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery. The role involves managing administrative staff, coordinating office activities, and implementing policies and procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Supervise Administrative Staff: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of administrative assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance

  • Coordinate Office Activities: Plan and oversee office operations, including scheduling, meetings, and events, to ensure smooth functioning

  • Implement Policies and Procedures: Develop and enforce office policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance

  • Manage Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications, ensuring timely and accurate information flow

  • Budget Management: Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective operations

  • Payroll Management:  Perform payroll processing and management, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages

  • Temporary Workers:  Manage temporary workers, including recruitment, onboarding, performance monitoring, and payroll

  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and organize professional development opportunities for administrative staff

  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any administrative issues or conflicts that arise within the team or office environment

  • Project Management: Oversee and coordinate special projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget

  • Maintain Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of office activities, staff performance, and other relevant data

  • Various other duties as assigned

What Skills You Need:

  • You possess a minimum of three (3) years' experience within an administrative or supervisory role

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others

  • You possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Exceptional organization and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

  • You have a valid US Driver's License to drive company vehicles when needed

  • You respect yourself and others and have a strong ethical mindset. Therefore, you always maintain confidentiality and discretion

    You are customer service orientated and comfortable interacting with both internal and external customers as a representative of Corteva

  • You are comfortable with technology and possess excellent computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required

  • You uphold health and safety to the highest standard! You consistently help others and demonstrate adherence to safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure you and your colleagues go home safely every day

  • You are comfortable with technology and possess excellent computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required

 

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Agriculture, or related field

  • Professional certifications in office management or administration

  • Previous experience or knowledge of SAP

  • Experience and knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing

The salary range for this position is $73,790.00 to $92,240.00.

This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
