We have an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Regional Team Leader to join our team in Latam!
The Accounts Payable Regional Team Leader provides administrative, leadership and direction to Accounts Payables Customer support teams (focal points/helpdesk) responsible for operations across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements for LATAM region.
Responsabilities
Managing AP Operations: Supervise the day-to-day Accounts Payables customer support processes for LATAM, ensuring timely and accurate processing of internal and external queries received.
Local Compliance: Ensure adherence to regional tax laws, VAT, and other local accounting standards.
Vendor Management: Build strong relationships with vendors and resolve any payment issues or discrepancies.
Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop the APAY customer service team, ensuring efficiency and alignment with regional practices.
Process Improvement: Implement process standardization and automation to improve efficiency across LATAM. Work closely with other teams (supply chain, procurement, tax etc) to implement projects/improvements
Reporting & Controls: Generate timely reports (controls & reconciliations)
Cross-border Payments: Oversee multi-currency payments, managing banking relationships with Treasury team and ensure foreign exchange compliance.
Risk & Project Management: Mitigate risks, lead regional transformation initiatives, and ensure compliance with internal and external audits.
Communication with Management: Report on APAY customer service team performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management
Requirements
Previous experience managing multi-cultural teams
Fluent English communications skills (written and verbal)
Availability to work with a hybrid work arrangement
LATAM tax knowledge
The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership and an understanding of the regional financial landscape.
Prefered Location: Brazil or Argentina
