CMI Terminal is a modern grain handling and crop protection outlet located on highway #6 between the communities of Spalding and Naicam. We are currently seeking a full time Facility Assistant at our inland terminal. As a Facility Assistant, you will be responsible for tasks associated with receiving, processing and shipping of grain and/or special crops, as well as general labor in and around the facility.

Job responsibilities include:

• Prepare, weigh & load rail cars and trucks for shipment
• Operate grain processing equipment including binning, cleaning, drying, blending & storing of grain.
• Document & report bin mixes.
• Take grain samples for quality analysis.
• Prepare shipping documentation & maintain grain samples.
• Receive & record product including quality, damages or shortages.
• Organize & maintain inventory, conduct regular inventory checks.
• Service equipment used in the movement of grain.
• Keep the facility & grounds clean, tidy and free of hazards.

Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to work independently and possess good interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. Candidates must be physically able to perform the required duties of the role, including good eyesight and color perception. The ideal candidate will be able to operate and maintain grain processing equipment and will have previous grain and/or special crops experience. Facility assistants must have a minimum grade 12 education and a valid drivers license.

As a Facility Assistant, you will work six 13 hour shifts over a two week period. There will be the opportunity for overtime and a requirement for on call shifts during busy seasons in order to meet productivity requirements. You will work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
