Job Description;

 

The Farm Show & Sales Support Internship is a professional internship within the North American Canada Region Team. The intern will provide supportive services, both in the field and remotely, as needed for Agricultural Farm shows and in administrative support of the Region Team. During the internship, the participant will be exposed to agriculture in various markets across Canada, gain exposure to CLAAS products, foster customer relations, engage in product & marketing efforts, and experience other functions within the company. Position is based in Saskatoon, SK Canada. 

 

  • Assist with the planning and execution of assigned Farm Shows and Customer Clinics.
  • Assists with new product launches in the North American market focused on but not limited to field benchmarking and competitive comparisons, quantifying value propositions over competitive alternatives, market research and analysis, preparing launch materials and sales collateral.
  • Responsible for supporting and driving critical processes and projects associated with product and sales support.
  • Works with CLAAS’ Data Analyst supporting competitive comparisons to be able to translate machine data into customer value propositions. 
  • Summer equipment demonstration support as needed.
  • Adheres to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follows and supports compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards. 
  • Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location. 
     
  • Note:  This position may include extensive domestic travel by auto and possibly air; valid passport, and driver’s license with verifiable safe driving history is required.
     

Your profile:

  • Working toward Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or Ag related field, preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office tools, e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong data analysis skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate (or learn to operate) a forklift.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possible trailer.
  • Knowledge of Agricultural processes, a plus.
  • Ability to travel throughout the summer months throughout the United States & Canada as needed.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
