PURPOSE

The Planning Excellence Lead will develop and drive the regional and global process, transformation projects, and system improvement roadmap to enable achievement of strategic objectives for Planning and S&OP/IBP teams which includes redesign & transformation projects and day-to-day system enhancements. You will represent business needs to partners and to IT for ongoing process, governance, and strategic design requirements. You will also ensure system availability and provide day-to-day support and communication to ensure business process continuity and issue resolution and work cross functionally to identify the process integration opportunities. Hybrid position, must be able to be in the Creve Coeur, MO office 3 days a week.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible to deliver the planning process including demand planning, distribution requirements planning, supply planning, S&OP /CT/IBP & tool optimization roadmap through process support and project completion and ensuring appropriate stakeholder engagement throughout the effort;
  • Ensure system readiness by managing and prioritizing the IT enhancement and improvement work ensuring appropriate alignment of priorities across functions;
  • Responsible to represent North America Seeds & Traits and Crop Protection business needs in transformation related initiatives, collaborating with global teams, influencing to prioritize North America needs and supporting global process standardization;
  • Responsible for the successful development and implementation of major Planning initiatives, including activities such as as-is-analysis, re-design and conception of CS NA PS business processes within planning projects as well as for the configuration and implementation of these processes in the respective ERP and related satellite systems ;
  • Ensure all appropriate documentation is completed to support knowledge management of new processes and systems;
  • Ensure alignment of all changes with up and downstream systems and processes;
  • Drive the prioritization process by managing the key user community within the defined tools;
  • Regional process owner for NA PS Planning systems (eg APO, DFS, IBP, CT, Seedbin Process Application etc), and SAP local tools;
  • Lead regional planning systems as business representatives to IT group for system strategy, system Long Range Plan, upgrades, issues, and overall health;
  • Manage the broad range of process improvements and system enhancements in the DRP;
  • Other duties assigned.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering field and over 12 years of equivalent experience in lieu of the degree;
  • Experience with SAP and in planning related tools and processes and broad knowledge and experience in supply chain operations;
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities;
  • Ability to drive organizational change;
  • Ability to make critical decisions aligned with business strategy, targets, and objectives;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Experience using Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
