North America Packaging Laboratory Specialist 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, North America Packaging Laboratory Specialist, are:

 

  • Coordinate packaging lab activities with NA Pac Tec community members to ensure safe and efficient operations of the lab area and equipment;
  • Maintain compliance / records for all hazardous materials packaging concepts;
  • Perform and develop reporting for various packaging performance evaluations, such as ESCR, Drop Test, Chemical Compatibility, mixing evaluations, machinery evaluations, pump evaluation and others as assigned;
  • Maintain packaging material specifications.
  • Support Packaging Technology community in evaluating, validating and maintaining packaging concepts, systems and operations
  • Troubleshoot and identify solutions for packaging challenges and quality concerns

 

Who You Are:

 

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

 Required Qualifications: 

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Technical Certification, associate’s degree (with eight years practical experience within the chemical field or packaging industry;)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging, Chemistry, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or another technical field with a minimum of four years of experience within the chemical field or packaging industry;
  • Strong sense of urgency;
  • Specialized knowledge of packaging materials, hazardous materials packaging are desired.
