Environmental Engineer Co-Op 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to: 

• Apply engineering principles to solve environmental engineering issues at manufacturing facilities;
• Work on projects under the guidance of experienced engineers to reduce waste, increase efficiencies, streamline processes, and identify cost savings opportunities;
• Provide support for the creation of a waste generation prediction model;
• Explore use of internal ChatGPT tools to fine tune process models for use in Environmental Operations Position.

Required Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelors (at least a Junior) or Masters/Graduate degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Good problem-solving skills;
• High degree of personal initiative;
• Excellent organization and planning skills;
• Ability to work well on a team and in a diverse environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least overall GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale;
• Proficient in MS Office Suite;
• Python programming language skills.

Position will be based in Creve Coeur, MO (St. Louis area).
