Digital Biodossier Specialist
This opportunity manages and implements the digital transformation for the production of Efficacy/Value data submission packages that satisfy local and regional regulatory requirements for registration of new crop protection products including pesticides, biologicals, plant health claims or expansion of existing product labels; also writing the part number 10 of the Canadian Biodossier according to PMRA requirements for registration of new crop protection products.
This is a permanent, home-based position within Canada.
What you will do:
- Manage regionally to create efficacy value data package using various digital data sources to fulfill both Canadian and US State registration requirements.
- Provide direction to the Field Agronomy, North America, Australia and New Zealand region.
- as part of the digital transformation team focused on developing and utilizing tools for digital data capture and summary of efficacy data for regional registrations.
- Identify key efficiencies which will lead to the streamlining of the data summarization, and preparation of the various efficacy submissions
- Support the Field Agronomy hub as part of the digital and Velocity transformation and automation teams to ensure the biodossier needs are met.
- Co-ordinate the contact with PMRA and Regulatory stakeholders to enable registrations with data captured remotely.
- Implement and support the projects focused on the digitalization of regulatory processes in the North America, Australia and New Zealand region.
- Provide appropriate training to internal and external contract authors to ensure that Value documents with a high degree of clarity and accuracy are submitted to the PMRA and US state authorities.
- Monitor academia and extension for existing and emerging pest problems and control strategies across a wide range of crops produced in Canada/US, anticipating trends in regulatory requirements in both countries based on industry or external benchmarking.
- Manage several project related timelines to ensure business objectives are not compromised by efficacy summary constraints.
- Write the part10 planned according to the business priorities and follow the internal Field Agronomy Hub SOP. Negotiate and align with product teams and other stakeholders the final Part10 prioritization for the current and following year.
Who you are:

- Either an Undergraduate Degree with at least 7 years aligned experience OR a M.Sc. in Agriculture, preferably Agronomy, Biologist, Horticulture or related field.
- Experience in agricultural research and development.
- Digital acumen – Experience in digital tools to support different projects. Uses Data Analytics and other digital tools to provide insights to support better decision making.
- Resilience - excellent networking, English communication and writing skills with the capacity to work under pressure independently and within a team environment.
- Self-development - through understanding of PMRA and US State Value requirements balanced with marketing and customer needs.
- Challenge the status quo - the ability to identify inefficiencies, as well as roadblocks and propose solutions as the digital space evolves.
- Proficiency - exceptional digital acumen in the area of data capture, analysis, presentation and summary.
