This role serves as a technical resource to maintain product master data in the BASIS system, determination of hazard classifications, validation of substance registrations, manage compliance documents, generate SDS and labels for a portfolio of products. This dynamic position operates in a cross-functional environment. Consultation with technical and commercial colleagues on new product developments and advise on the impact of changes to recipes, raw materials, and regulations. The role must monitor regulatory holds, quickly evaluate reasons for blocks, problem solve and provide guidance on how to release the block while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Execute regulatory review of material Masterdata record changes

Review, classify and maintain Masterdata records when impacted by changing regulations, and database structures

Author and release GHS Safety Data Sheets and Labels

Review and clear order blocks in SAP

Advise commercial teams on regulatory requirements

Coordinate and contribute to global product regulatory management discussions and projects

If you...

Education
  • Undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Public Health, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology or similar technical disciplines.


Experience
  • 2+ years working with SAP or SAP EHS.
  • 3+ years in the chemical industry or manufacturing.
  • Experience in safety data sheet authoring preferred.


Knowledge/Skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA and WHMIS hazard communication standards.
  • Understanding of GHS hazard classification, SDS and Labeling requirements.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and provide clear regulatory communications to employees.
