We are looking for a Field Research Technician to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Saskatoon, SK.

The Field Research Technician collaborates with the Farm Manager, Field Biologists and team to support all aspects of a field research farm and cross portfolio/cross crop research program including Herbicide, Fungicide, Insecticide, ST and Digital trials on key Canadian crops.

Assisting in the management of crop protection research programs on the local research farm.
Managing research farm targets, capabilities, equipment, inventory, cooperating farmers.
Supporting the development of technical training for seasonal research staff.
Supporting a learning culture that provides for the collection of high-quality field research results.
Supporting local research farm capabilities to achieve key Canadian technical / market targets.
Utilizing methodologies and capabilities to consistently and efficiently evaluate new crop protection solutions.
If you have...
A B.Sc. or Diploma in Agriculture/Biology with emphasis on crop science, weed science, agronomy, entomology, plant pathology, or related disciplines is preferred.
Minimum 1 year (field season) of relative field experience, managing field research / product development projects across indications.
Experience in working with growers, distribution/retail, universities, or consultants would be beneficial.
Ability to share knowledge and expertise with others, actively participate on teams to solve problems or achieve team goals.
Strong organizational, time management and project management skills.
Experience with farm equipment and or mechanical aptitude is desired.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with audiences of varying backgrounds.
Skills at development and delivery of presentations to both external and internal customers. Excellent computer skills and proficient in various software programs, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, ARM/SPEAD.
