BASF Freeport, Texas Site, is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to join our HR team in a large, fast-paced matrixed manufacturing environment. The ER Advisor will serve as a trusted partner to employees, frontline leaders, and HR colleagues, supporting fair, consistent and legally compliant employee relations practices across multiple functions and reporting lines. This role is critical in fostering a positive work environment, reducing risk, and supporting our high-performance culture.

Providing day-to-day guidance to managers and employees on performance management, conduct, attendance and conflict resolution.
Investigating and resolve employee concerns and complaints in a timely, thorough, and impartial manner.
Documenting and tracking employee relations issues, actions and outcomes in alignment with internal policies and legal requirements.
Managing complex cases involving disciplinary actions and policy violations with professionalism and confidentiality.
Ensuring adherence to labor laws, company policies, and corporate standards.
Partnering with Legal, Ethics/Compliance and EHS teams as needed to mitigate risk and resolve complex issues.
Partnering with the HR Business Partners to coach leaders on effective employee management and conflict resolution strategies.
Supporting the Workforce Development Team and HR Business Partners with training initiatives focused on respectful workplace behavior and performance excellence.
Maintaining accurate case records and support internal audits and reporting requirements.
Building strong relationships with site leadership, HR Business Partners and centralized organizations.
Navigating complex reporting structures and influence without authority to drive positive outcomes.
If you...
Have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related field.
Hold 8 years of progressive HR/Employee Relations experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similarly complex environment.
Possess strong knowledge of U.S. labor and employment law (or applicable local law).
Have proven experience handling investigations, policy enforcement, and employee conflict resolution.
Hold excellent communication, mediation, and problem-solving skills.
Possess the ability to manage sensitive situations, with discretion, empathy, and confidence.
Have experience working in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders and reporting lines.
Hold comfort in working in the plant and in office settings.
Possess working knowledge of SAP, data analytics systems, and other HRIS platforms.
