We are looking for an Associate Field Biologist to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Saskatoon, SK.

The Associate Field Biologist's primary role is to run the field trials assigned to the local site. Field trials will be assigned by project leaders and the Associate Field Biologist will run the field program assigned to them. The Associate Field Biologist will work with the local team to manage staff and resources required to run the trials.

As an Associate Field Biologist, you create chemistry by...

  • Running the field trials assigned to the local site by project leaders, working with the local team to manage staff and resources required to run the trials.
  • Providing support to manage the recruiting, and hiring of all seasonal staff, to support research farm activity.
  • Providing management support in the area of all aspects of research farm and cross portfolio / cross crop research program including all Herbicide, Fungicide, Insecticide, and ST trials. This includes but is not limited to annual budgeting, 3 year capital planning, 3 year crop rotation planning, farm cooperator relationships, farm staffing and quality of all data collection.
  • Supporting the execution of project planning including protocol planning, data summaries, presentations for multiple audiences. In addition, supporting the execution of research cooperator data management, preparation of regulatory submissions by project.
  • Providing technical support for both Molecule and Product Launch Excellence (PLE) teams will be a key element of this role.


If you have...

  • A B.Sc or M.Sc. in Agriculture/Biology with or equivalent experience in crop science, weed science, agronomy, entomology, plant pathology or related discipline.
  • A minimum 1-3 years related field experience, managing field research trials.
  • Ideal 3-5 years related field experience, managing field research / product development projects across indications.
  • Experience with the Canadian regulatory environment is beneficial. Experience in working with growers, distribution/retail, universities, or consultants would be beneficial.
  • Ability to share knowledge and expertise with others. Actively participate on teams to solve problems or achieve team goals. Strong organizational, time management and project management skills are also essential.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with audiences of varying backgrounds. Must be skilled at development and delivery of presentations to both external and internal customers. Excellent computer skills and proficient in various software programs, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, ARM/SPEAD.
  • Key influencer relationships are well developed such that partnerships on research projects, training curriculum development and implementation are fostered.
  • Experience with farm equipment and or mechanical aptitude is beneficial.
