The Agentic AI Systems Expert is responsible for creating and implementing AI solutions to tackle complex challenges across various fields, such as automating business processes and optimizing chemical production. This role involves validating new technologies, integrating AI into existing workflows, and continuously enhancing these solutions for better accuracy, scalability, and compliance. Our team of experts for artificial intelligence explores and realizes novel solutions to maximize the business value from AI and speedup innovation. We combine Generative AI, natural language processing, graph technologies and distributed computing to mastercomplexity for profitability and sustainability. We are pioneering advanced Agentic AI systems to extend autonomy and automationbeyond limits of today. We are seeking an expert in that domain to join our team. In this role you will leverage cutting-edge as well asproven technologies to reshape the way we execute business processes and innovation.

As a Agentic AI Systems Expert, you create chemistry by...

  • Designing, developing, and deploying AI-based solutions to address challenging use cases in different domains, from automating tasks in business processes to mastering complexity in chemical production, and in driving innovation.
  • Validating the feasibility of new technological developments and methods to verify and maximize value contribution while ensuring efficient and safe operation.
  • Integrating your AI developments for productive use in existing workflows and solutions.
  • Contributing to continuously improve and optimize AI solutions to enhance their accuracy, scalability, optimize computational and cost efficiency, and compliance with rules and standards.
  • Staying at the forefront of AI progress and share your knowledge with colleagues to promote a learning culture for AI-driven innovation across BASF.


If you have...

  • M.Sc./PhD degree in computer science, mathematics, or related engineering field, with 3+ years of experience in developing AI applications for business problem-solving and innovation.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in training and fine-tuning, and applying large and small language models, as well as experience in complex systems engineering and reliable AI in industrial applications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of deep learning algorithms and architectures.
  • Proficiency designing and developing multi-agent systems.
  • Excellent software development skills with deep experience in Python working with AI frameworks and tools in cloud environments.
  • Strong problem-solving attitude, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
