As a Account Manager you will be a part of the CASE Polyurethane account management team and manage approximately 20 -30 customer accounts. You will be responsible for securing new business at existing accounts, share of wallet growth at existing accounts and penetration into new accounts in accordance with the strategic initiatives of the CASE Polyurethane business. This is a remote office position located in the Detroit area and includes a company vehicle.

Deriving and executing account strategies in accordance with the business's aggressive growth plans.
Representing BASF professionally and positively to foster excellent account relationships that enable share of wallet growth and share of market growth.
Negotiating and writing contracts that create mutually beneficial agreements with accounts and that support account strategies.
Maintaining select account strategies, keeping account pricing up-to-date, maintaining contracts appropriately within the database and executing accurate monthly forecasts.
Engaging Market Development and sustainability experts, technical services, product management, supply chain and customer to continually provide high level services to our customer base.
Remaining knowledgeable and sharing appropriate supply/demand information, import data, raw material trends and general economic trends with accounts.
If you...
Hold a technical or business-related bachelor's degree.
Possess 5+ years of experience in the plastics or chemical industry, preferably polyurethanes.
Have 3+ years of experience in account management or sales.
Are an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills.
Have the ability to travel up to 75% of the time within the United States.
