General Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Senior Data Steward serves as a leading subject matter expert responsible for ensuring the highest level of data integrity, quality, and governance for assigned data domains (e.g., Customer, Item, Asset, Vendor, Organization). This role involves daily oversight of data quality, collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders to document definitions, procedures, issues, define business rules, and manage change requests. Key responsibilities include managing critical data inputs , designing and implementing Master Data Management (MDM) strategies, curating enterprise data dictionaries using relevant tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation), leading team members and leveraging SQL for data analysis and verification. The Steward will utilize MDM tools (e.g., Reltio) and workflow processes to maintain data accuracy and consistency. This position plays a critical role in leading the development and improvement of the Data Governance Office, aligning daily activities with its tiered structure to increase operational efficiency and strengthen overall data governance, ultimately providing excellent service to internal customers.
Key Skills and Abilities Include :
5+ years of business experience and expert level business understanding in assigned data domain
Associate d egree in relevant field of study or high school diploma/GED
Strong analytical abilities with experience extracting data and developing reports in an ERP environment
M id-level or above proficiency with MS Office Excel, analyzing and manipulating large datasets
Proficiency with SQL for data querying, data quality verifications and analysis of data within enterprise datastores
Experience with leading data quality assessment s , monitoring, and remediation techniques
Familiarity with data modeling concepts is a plus
Experience with and implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and tools (ex: Reltio) to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Knowledge of and experience with management of data dictionary tools like Collibra, Alation, etc. for metadata management, data discovery and cataloging
Experience with leading and mentor ing data stewards
Experience with automation of manual tasks to improve processes and workflows
Ability to Lead cross-functional teams in data governance and facilitate data governance meetings and workshops
Proactive approach to role and problem solving; solution rather than problem focused
Organized methodical application of established data governance standards
Able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively and positively with key stakeholders both within and outside of the data quality and governance team to get the job done

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
Understands the impact of master data within the organization and systems for applicable data domains.
Help lead and champion the Data Governance Office to increase operational efficiency and strengthen data governance
Lead, d esign and implement ation of Master Data Management (MDM) strategies to maintain data quality rules and processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Curate , maintain and set standards for enterprise data dictionaries, ensuring that data elements are accurately defined and documented
Leads cross-functional teams in data governance and facilitate data governance meetings and workshops
Lead initiatives that improved data quality year over year
Collaborates with cross functional stakeholders to document definitions, procedures, issues, define business rules and change requests of specified data domains (Customer, Item, Asset, Vendor, Organization, etc.)
Ensures the highest level of data integrity, governance, and service to internal customers
Use workflow processes and u ser Interface Robots to format, approve and create new items in ERP Systems
Responsible for the quality of a defined dataset on a day-to-day basis. In contrast, Data Owners are accountable for data quality but not daily activities. Data Stewards will draft and design the data quality rules by which their data is measured, and the Data Owners will approve those rules.
Serve as t he finger-on-keyboard subject matter expert that work s with the data every day. They have a deep understanding of the meaning of the data and the impact to the business of changes to the data.
Align quality standards and daily data activities with the tiered structure of the Data Governance program.

Compensation and Benefits:
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $86,400 - $115,210 annually. Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
