General Purpose and Scope of Position:

The Project Manager - Capital Expenditures & Engineering is responsible for leading the creation, design, bidding, vendor negotiation, contractor management as they relate to the implementation of Capital Expenditures and Engineering project implementation.  They will also be responsible for a variety of day-to-day plant operations, including partnering on the safety program, overseeing new machinery installation, training, housekeeping oversite, maintenance, and ongoing machinery management. Will collaborate with other Project Managers or Project Engineers. The Project Manager assists the Director of Operations with the capital planning process for the facility and will be involved in a variety of project and process improvements across Nutrition.

  • 3+ years experience in Capital Expenditure deployment, project management, or construction.
  • 2+ years of facility maintenance and/or team management
  • Experience in feed operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, relevant trade certification/s are a plus

 

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

  • Direct and indirect project and engineering design and implementation.
  • On-site responsibility for capital expenditures, new capital equipment, and project improvements.
  • Responsible for process review and enhancements
  • Overseeing all preventive equipment maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and future capital needs for the facility.
  • Follow all safety, regulatory, and administrative policies and procedures. 
  • Able to work and contribute to a team approach with a positive attitude and outlook. 
  • Safe operation of company equipment. 
  • Change management as it pertains to Capital Expenditures deployment
  • Create and lead training sessions and meetings when necessary.   
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management professionally and efficiently
