Role Overview:
The Manager Retail Operations I directs the interaction of cross-functional groups within the location including warehouse, production plants, safety, compli ance, dispatch , and administr ative pr ocesses. You will be responsible for ensuring each area of the business operates efficiently a nd inter acts effectively with the other functions .
A Sample of What You'll Do in this Role:
Manage branch operations, including management of support personnel, operational oversight, and customer service.
Significant time will be spent performing logistics and dispatching duties.
Coordinate all support resources for the location to ensure compliance with Wilbur-Ellis safety, regulatory, credit, and other policies.
Operations management oversight of the locations.
Work and communicate with the Sales Manager and sales team to determine their needs and develop plans and actions to meet needs with appropriate operational solutions for the customers.
Coordinate Operations support resources, including fertilizer, value-added nutrition, branded products, seed, and PPP purchasing to maximize opportunities.
Control inventory control and coordinate inventory counts, adjustments, etc.
Responsible for the operational P&L, communicating and coordinating with the Sales Manager on any large purchases needed for operations.
What You Bring to the Role:
Minimum of five years of experience with a demonstrated track record in operations or retail branch management
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficient in JDE (or other ERP system) and all Microsoft Office applications
Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred

You have strong interpersonal and team-building skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish relationships with branch personnel, peers, and customers
You demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to lead and influence
You're skilled in managing operations including logistics, warehousing, inventory management, administrative, and comfortable dealing with customers
Compensation and Benefits:
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $82,300 - $109,780. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
