Role Overview:

The Manager Retail Operations I directs the interaction of cross-functional groups within the location including warehouse, production plants, safety, compli ance, dispatch , and administr ative pr ocesses. You will be responsible for ensuring each area of the business operates efficiently a nd inter acts effectively with the other functions .

A Sample of What You'll Do in this Role:
  • Manage branch operations, including management of support personnel, operational oversight, and customer service.
  • Significant time will be spent performing logistics and dispatching duties.
  • Coordinate all support resources for the location to ensure compliance with Wilbur-Ellis safety, regulatory, credit, and other policies.
  • Operations management oversight of the locations.
  • Work and communicate with the Sales Manager and sales team to determine their needs and develop plans and actions to meet needs with appropriate operational solutions for the customers.
  • Coordinate Operations support resources, including fertilizer, value-added nutrition, branded products, seed, and PPP purchasing to maximize opportunities.
  • Control inventory control and coordinate inventory counts, adjustments, etc.
  • Responsible for the operational P&L, communicating and coordinating with the Sales Manager on any large purchases needed for operations.


What You Bring to the Role:
  • Minimum of five years of experience with a demonstrated track record in operations or retail branch management
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in JDE (or other ERP system) and all Microsoft Office applications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred

Compensation and Benefits:
  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $82,300 - $109,780. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
  • This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
