General Purpose and Scope of Position :

Wilbur-Ellis is seeking an Agriculture Field Scout to help support our Salinas Valley crop resea r ch and development efforts in a variety of agriculture aspects while building partnerships among key teams in an effort to deliver relevant data and tools to those individuals who drive the relationships with our customers . This position is seasonal with the potential for full-time employment.

Key Skills and Abilities Include:



  • College s tudent majoring in Agriculture or a related field


  • Knowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)


  • Intermediate level proficiency with standard software, including MS Office Suite


  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills between both customers and fellow employees


  • Dependability/reliability.


  • Good interpersonal skills


Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:



  • Complete the tasks and activities outlined by the Manager and/or Mentor


  • Conform to the normal working hours of the W ilbur-Ellis location


  • Monitor & maintain field trials, collect data, schedule field visits with cooperators etc.


  • Support the employer, keep the employer's business confidential, and work for the employer's best interest.


  • Comply with company safety standards.


Compensation and Benefits:


  • In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $19.33 - $25.80 per hour. Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
