General Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Plant Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day plant operations. As the leader of the Plant , this individual will b e responsible for all staff operations to ensure the efficient and safe handling of the receipt of ingredients into the facility, the processing activities within the facility, and the shipment of all finished products from the facility .
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
Minimum 5 years experience in the management of feed mill/manufacturing setting
A professional individual with strong leadership and organization skills
team player who excels at building relationships and encourages staff growth and development
A creative individual with experience in all aspects of a plant operation with an eye for efficient production methods and an understanding of best practices
Prioritizing multiple tasks for the best production efficiencies
Motivating and creating a unified team
Ability to efficiently manage production costs and align these costs to the volume produced
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and changing work environment
Ability to implement and oversee company policy regarding F oo d Safety & worker safety

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
Oversight of 2 locations in St. Joseph
Management and supervision of staff will include multiple direct reports .
Responsible for working with Sr. Manager of Operations & HR for staffing & discipline of hourly employees
Oversee all plant operation functions, including but not limited to receiving, production planning, production process, storage of materials (on and off-site), and logistics.
Managing the daily processes required to ensure proces s information mirrors the ERP system
Direct s equipment maintenance team and preventive maintenance planning
Assesses capital needs for the facility submits for approval, and oversees implementation team
R esponsible for implementation of all plant processes to meet requirements of the Wilbur- Ellis programs
Accountable for the implement ation of all plant Quality and Food Safety programs
R esponsible for implementation of all plant and employee safety as outlined in the Wilbur- Ellis Environmental, Health, and Safety Management System
M anage all plant production-related expenses
All other customary duties of this position as assigned
Compensation and Benefits:
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $85,000 - $119,020. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
