General Purpose and Scope of Position
The Inventory and Procurement Coordinator supports the implementation of the Intermountain Pro Markets supply strategy and inventory needs. Through participation, collaboration and communication with the Pro Markets Operations, Sales and Supply Strategy teams, the Inventory and Procurement Coordinator helps deliver the overall Intermountain supply strategy and ensures its successful integration within the region.
Key Skills and Abilities Include

Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and Excel
Strong interpersonal and team building skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish relationships with field personnel, peers, suppliers, and customers
The ability to operate within critical deadlines and execute strategy in a fast-paced environment
Adaptable to a dynamic environment
BA or BS degree or higher in Agriculture or a Business-related field is preferred.
Key Personal Attributes Include
Detail and accuracy orientation, with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in purchasing or inventory management
Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret written procedures and reports
Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include
Through cooperation with District Manager, Operations Manager, Sales and Supply Strategy teams, provide adequate inventories of products and efficient use of working capital.
Assess logistic options and align with national vendors when possible. Keep transportation costs competitive and continually communicate with vendors for the best rate and customer service.
Utilize demand planning tools, interfacing with District Manager, Operations manager and field staff.
Inventory Management - Current and Aged
Communicate directly with District Manager, Operations Manager, Supply team and Field Staff in regard to forecasting, purchasing and inventory levels
Track all inbound shipments and communicate out to Sales team ETA or delays
Coordinate forecasts and monitor product levels on daily and weekly basis
Provide net cost information to those designated and approved by District Manager
Communicate directly with Pro Markets Purchasing team to make product requests with order requisitions and purchase orders based on regional needs and issues.
Provide reports required by the District Manager.
Monitor supplier program targets and buying programs; work with Operations and District Managers to ensure we make purchases to maximize rebates and obtain the best cost position to reach goals.
Responsible for processing orders received from branch locations and sales reps. This includes taking orders, sourcing materials, processing orders, and preparing paperwork for pickup or delivery (OTR, LTL, FedEx, UPS, etc.), and completing applicable paperwork in an accurate and timely manner to ensure satisfactory invoicing/billing.
Coordinate product purchasing through a centralized system with all branches
Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Compensation and Benefits:
The base compensation for this position ranges from $18.99 to $25.34 per hour. Please note that wages may vary depending on skills and experience.
