Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our Nutrition Trading team as an Ingredients Trade Marketer Trainee. This is an exciting entry point into the dynamic world of ingredients trading, with immersive exposure to the full spectrum of commercial and operational activities involved in sourcing and delivering key nutritional ingredients for the animal nutrition industry.
In this hands-on rotational role, you will work across core trading functions, including buy/sell operations, sales support, customer service, logistics coordination, and ensuring on-time delivery. You'll develop a strong understanding of the supply chain, market dynamics, and customer needs, laying the foundation for a successful career in trade marketing.

A Sample of What You'll Do in This Role:
Ingredient Trading (Buy & Sell)
Assist traders in sourcing ingredients from global suppliers
Monitor pricing trends and inventory levels to support purchasing decisions.
Participate in internal trading meetings to gain insight into market dynamics, strategy, and risk management.
Sales Support
Provide day-to-day support to traders and account managers with pricing updates, contract creation, and deal entry.
Assist in preparing customer proposals, tracking margin performance, and managing trade confirmations.
Contribute to market research and competitor tracking.
Customer Service
Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide product or delivery updates with professionalism and urgency.
Maintain accurate records in the ERP and CRM systems.
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
Plan and track inbound and outbound shipments of ingredients.
Work closely with carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouses to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Support documentation compliance for domestic and international shipments, including Bills of Lading, customs paperwork, and feed safety regulations.
On-Time Delivery & Execution
Monitor open orders and proactively coordinate across logistics, procurement, and sales to prevent delays.
Help manage vendor and customer delivery expectations while ensuring operational excellence.
Support root cause analysis for service failures and recommend corrective actions.
What You Bring to The Role:
1-4 years of professional experience in animal nutrition, commodities trading, logistics, or a customer-facing operations role.
Post-secondary education with a Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Supply Chain, Business, Animal Science, or a related field, or equivalent related experience.
Familiarity with feed ingredients or agricultural supply chains is a strong asset.
Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, (preferably JDE)

Compensation and Benefits:
The base compensation for this position ranges from $58,700 - $82,250. Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for a yearly bonus, vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
