General Purpose and Scope of Position:

We are seeking a Drone Field Technician to act as a Visual Observer (VO) for Agricultural Drone Applications and Chemical Handler with potential career advancement opportunities.

Key Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)
  • Knowledge of drone technology and piloting skills is a plus.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills between both customers and fellow employees.
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment and operate chemical mixing equipment.
  • Ability to repetitively bend and lift boxes and bags up to 80 lbs.
  • Clean driving record and ability to safely hook up, tow, and back-up trailers.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnight shifts, and occasional weekends.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and overtime during peak seasons.
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) strongly preferred.

  • Strong mathematical skills are required for mixing and accurately figuring loads.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.


Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables:

  • The loader calculates product and carrier quantities accurately, ensuring precise load amounts.
  • Traveling to outlying areas to support aerial applications.
  • Loading drones with chemical material and operating mixing equipment
  • Working closely with the maintenance crew and pilots.
  • Perform vehicle safety inspections.
  • Meet and complete all WECO regulatory safety requirements
  • Attend product training sessions and meetings when necessary
  • Help maintain shop cleanliness
  • Notify the UAS Manager immediately if products spill
  • All other duties as assigned.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $24.17 - $32.92 per hour. Compensation includes competitive hourly wages. Wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for vacation and sick time, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
