General Purpose and Scope of Position:

The Customer Service Representative is essential to the technical sales manager. The role is key to the sales and marketing support function. The individual is expected to provide superior service to our customers, our suppliers, and identified sales team members. This position will solicit sales orders, provide potential customers with product information and samples, and be a customer point of contact in the absence of a sales representative. This role works closely with the sales and production teams at our Texas and Idaho locations to increase sales, resolve customer complaints, and handle routine customer correspondence.

Key Skills and Abilities Include:
  • 2-5 years of industry and sales support experience
  • Strong background in all facets of order management and/or transactional processing
  • Experience with a Tier 1 ERP, JDE experience preferred

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task to accomplish multiple assignments


Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
  • Invoice local and out-of-state accounts daily
  • Take customer feed orders over the phone
  • Prepare bills of lading
  • Perform intercompany billing
  • Maintain inventory/production control records and posting daily production activity onto a computerized inventory control system.
  • Maintain Item Master Directory
  • Coordinate all deliveries and prepare required shipping documents
  • Assist in tracking production
  • Assist with scheduling ingredient deliveries and receiving documents with purchasing and operations..
  • Provide knowledgeable advice and recommendations to customers regarding the use of feed products
  • Prepare production meeting reports
  • Perform all necessary office duties, including keeping logs as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Compensation and Benefits:
  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $19.95 - $26.62/hr. Wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for many benefits, such as vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
