General Purpose and Scope of Position: If you are interested in drone technology with a passion for agriculture and a commitment to safety and precision, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of precision farming in California. We are seeking a Visual Observer (VO) for Agricultural Drone Applications and Chemical Handler with potential career advancement opportunities.

Key Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)

• Knowledge of drone technology and piloting skills a plus (but not required).

• Requires excellent interpersonal skills between both customers and fellow employees.

• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment and operate chemical mixing equipment.

• Ability to repetitively bend and lift boxes and bags up to 80 lbs.

• Clean driving record and ability to safely hook up, tow, and back-up trailers.

• Willing to work early mornings or even overnight shifts or weekends at some times.

• Willing and desires to work overtime hours during busy seasons.

• Person should be versatile, flexible, and willing. Can effectively multi-task.

• Able to work and contribute to a team approach with a positive attitude and outlook

• Present a professional image to our customer through personal appearance and overall branch cleanliness.

• Strong mathematical skills required for mixing and accurately figuring loads

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables:

• The loader calculates product and carrier quantities, accurately figuring load amounts.

• Traveling to outlying areas to support aerial applications.

• Managing inventory, entering spray orders

• Loading drones with material

• Working closely with the maintenance crew and pilots.

• Perform vehicle safety inspections

• Meet and complete all WECO regulatory safety requirements

• Attend product training sessions and meetings when necessary

• Help maintain warehouse/shop cleanliness

• Notify UAS Manager immediately if products spills

• All other duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $27.54 - $31.50 per hour. Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
