Western Applied Research Corporation (WARC) is seeking motivated summer students to join our team for the 2026 growing season!

Position Duration:
May 1 - August 28, 2026 (dates flexible)

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Work Environment: 90% outdoors
Requirement: Valid driver's license
Experience: Agriculture experience an asset, but not required

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with pre-seed calibrations, seed and fertilizer setup, site development, soil testing and harvest activities
• Help with crop scouting, crop health assessments, and weed and disease identification
• Operate and maintain small-plot equipment, including tractors and sprayers
• Conduct data collection throughout the season: soil sampling, plant counts, disease and lodging ratings, maturity assessments and treatment applications
• Support WARC's extension events, including webinars and Field Day

This role offers hands-on experience across all areas of applied agricultural research.

Successful candidates will work both independently and as part of a collaborative field research team.
