Production Agronomist

Total Seed Production is a third-party corn and soybean seed production facility located in Tipton, Indiana.  We are growing and adding a new position to our farm team.  We are currently looking to fill the position of Production Agronomist.  This position will be focused on equipment, technology, and operations and will flex between an office setting and farm operations. This position will be approximately 70 percent field work and 30 percent office work Previous experience in seed, agronomy, and/or research is beneficial.   

Training will be provided, but the candidate must be a quick learner, willing and able to ask questions, work in a fast-paced environment, problem solve, and handle multiple job responsibilities. Excellent communication skills and willingness to change and grow with the company is important. attention to detail, previous experience with agriculture-related software and or drones. Responsibilities include:

Skills and Experience Requirements:

• A college degree in agronomy is preferred but not required with the right farming experience
• Extensive knowledge of plant and soil science
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Able to provide general direction to various team members
• Able to work as part of a team and possess excellent communication/interpersonal skills
• Consistent and Reliable in their work
• Flexible and open to the seasonal working hours of production agriculture
