As a Regional Sales Manager you will spend your days teaching stakeholders about how our technologies can help farmers improve their productivity in pursuit of a sustainable and more profitable agriculture. You will exercise your leadership and persuasion skills on a daily basis as you travel around your assigned Region to provide knowledge and support to the Agronomic Technical Consultants and by building relationships/partnerships with Ag Retailers. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and directs the sales team by conducting weekly sales calls and ride alongs with sales representative within a specific territory
- Establishes and monitors sales activity, customer credit status and accounts receivables
- Supports sales effort with the assigned region by developing sales promotions, presenting at regional grower / dealer meetings, building crop nutrition programs and addressing grower needs
- Recommends innovative ideas that provide solutions to grower issues reported by the sales team
- Develops the sales team by education and training on market trends, sales techniques, product knowledge and helping new customers to adopt our products into their portfolios
- Participates in employee relations management; including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, annual reviews, compensation, discipline, and termination of employees
- Overseeing the execution of grower field trials
Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in agriculture or related field, Masters preferred
- Certified Crop Advisor (CCA)
- At least 5 years of experience leading a sales team
- Broad knowledge and experience in the agriculture field
- Above average skills in communication and math
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to individuals and/or groups
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example, train and develop employees
- Ability to Travel up to 50% in the states of Iowa, Illinois and Missouri
