Position summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst position will have an active role in monthly reporting and analysis, annual audit processes, ad hoc reporting, and the budgeting process while providing support to the BU finance team. This role leads the reporting and evaluation of financial results of Wenger Feeds, a subsidiary of The Wenger Group, as well as assisting in other financial analysis related to the Company.

What will you do:
  • Assist the period end financial close process, financial reporting and analysis, and annual budget preparation for Wenger Feeds.
  • Prepare period end financial reports and develop other actionable reporting for key business metrics.
  • Provide critical technical and analytical expertise in response to specialized modeling and report requests.
  • Analyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), especially relating to financial metrics such as sales, expenditures, and profit margin.
  • Develop complex financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives.
  • Perform variance analysis comparing current results to budget and prior year results as a part of monthly reporting.
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate trends and issues affecting the business.
  • Prepare forecasts to help predict the company's future financial performance.
  • Provide support during the annual budget process, including collecting, reviewing and reporting budget information.
  • Assist in developing presentation materials for the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
  • Assist in ad hoc projects as directed by supervisor.
  • Ensure procedures are documented and updated regularly.
  • Assist in collection and preparation of documentation requested for the annual outside audit and tax preparation.
  • Provide backup and assistance for other positions and perform additional responsibilities within the department as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who are you:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft products and JD Edwards or other ERP systems.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Two to five years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team and with all levels of the organization.
  • Growth mindset and ability to adapt to change.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and abstract reasoning skills.
  • High degree of organizational skill, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and prioritize work efficiently.
