What your day looks like:

Under the Supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and the Director of Maintenance will be responsible for keeping all equipment and the physical plant in operating condition in a timely and cost-effective manner. Review work orders and take appropriate action to repair or mediate the issue. Take calls from production or sanitation to repair breakdowns. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in all aspects of the maintenance operation. Maintain and observe safety and sanitary procedures. Follow all USDA, GMP, and Leidy HACCP requirements. Must see that all Leidy guidelines, Leidy SSOP, HAACP and government regulations are maintained. Maintain a positive work relationship with all employees and managers. Complete the necessary paperwork as required by your Manager. Perform all other duties as assigned in accordance with Leidy's, LLC employee handbook and safety rules and regulations and all applicable laws and standards.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Effectively and efficiently repair breakdowns to support and keep production running in all areas of the facility.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to support production operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic problems on all plant equipment.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner to the highest quality standards.
• Effectively communicate between shifts when work is passed along and detailed logbook entries.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems accurately and efficiently.
• Perform all tasks in accordance with company safety and GMP policies/guidelines.
• Support plant's Continuous Improvement Program.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor
Who Are You:
You have High School Diploma or equivalent and one to three years general maintenance experience. Ability to understand wiring diagrams and schematics, basic electric circuitry, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and refrigeration. Must have good communication, organizational and project planning skills. A valid driver's license is required. Must be able to lift, push or pull 50 lbs. frequently and 90 lbs. occasionally. This job requires the ability to pinch, hard grasp, perform fine manipulation, and work with arms above shoulder level. Work on or near moving machinery, operate equipment, perform work below knee level, and repetitive motion utilizing various tools. The person will be required to drive and sit occasionally, bend, squat, twist, kneel and climb frequently and stand, walk, reach, use acute vision and hearing skills continuously. Must be able to work overtime as required. Ability to work in a cold/wet environment and with a very diverse workforce. Excellent written/verbal communication/presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to function at a high level within a team environment. Ability to work independently and with individuals from multiple disciplines and with varying levels of experience. Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where change and growth are part of the culture. Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Bilingual, English and Spanish, a plus.
