What your day looks like:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Systems Manager will lead the strategic direction, governance, and optimization of the company's HR Technology ecosystem. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, automation, and long-term functionality of HR systems while ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise platforms. The HR Systems Manager will oversee system implementation, vendor management, data integrity, and compliance with providing leadership and guidance to HR technology users across the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensure adherence to Wenger policies, methods, and disciplines.
Champion and serve as the technical expert for HR technology applications - drive long term direction, design, functionality, and future enhancements.
Oversee all HRIS applications, integrations, and modules, ensuring functionality, efficiency, and compliance.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization of HR workflows
Lead issue resolution efforts, including trouble shooting technical problems and implementing sustainable solutions
Own the planning, execution and successful deployment of new HR technology systems and enhancements.
Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and vendor performance evaluations.
Develop and document system requirements, oversee user acceptance testing, and ensure seamless implementation. Maintain a structured security matrix and access permissions across HR technology platforms.
Serve as the primary liaison between HR, IT, external vendors and other business units for system enhancements and projects.
Lead training initiatives to maximum end-user adoption and system efficiency.
Maintain clear, concise business documentation, ensuring alignment between system functionality and business needs.
Design and implement data analytics dashboards to provide actionable workforce insight.
Oversee compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and HR Technology policies.
Conduct periodic system audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure data security.
Monitor system upgrades and assess their impact on business processes, conducting regression testing and necessary adjustments.
Stay ahead of HR technology trends, advising leadership on innovations and enhancements.
Provide mentorship and guidance to HR team members on HR technology best practices
Represent HR technology strategy in executive discussions and decision-making processes
Help maintain data integrity by running queries, analyzing data and understanding use of HR data across organization
Compile or assist with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for HR staff.
Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
3-5 years of proven related experience required.
Experience with UKG/PlanSource (HCM integration), Cornerstone, Laserfiche & SharePoint is preferred.
Experience or familiarity with manufacturing and distribution is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
Demonstrated technical support skills
Expertise in HR data governance, system security and compliance standards
Ability to keep information confidential
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of HRIS systems
