What your day looks like:
This role is a full-time Human Resources Business Partner who will support the HR leaders and execute daily responsi bilities for all human resources initiatives such as recruiting, employee relations, training, performance management , compliance, and administration. This individual will support company leadership in championing employee engagement and advancing the business unit culture.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Recruiting
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with management during the talent acquisition process
Partner with hiring managers to understand position needs, and assist in the creation of job descriptions
Researches and engages the local community to enhance company presence and recruiting efforts
Facilitate training and learning with team members as necessary
Attend career fairs and manage relationships with colleges and universities for The Weger Group (TWG)
Onboarding
Ensure accurate and appropriate set up of new hires in the HRIS, as well as partner with IT and Payroll to ensure a smooth transition into the Company.
Participate in the rotation for attendance and facilitation of New Hire Orientation.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the orientation process.
Assist in updating presentation materials, slides, and related content.
Serve as backup facilitator for the benefits orientation session.
Execute all components of the onboarding process for new hires, including background checks, drug screens, ExactHire tasks, LaserFiche forms, announcements, and other required steps.
Regularly evaluate onboarding workflows and recommend process improvements.
Offboarding
Conduct and support in person exit interviews.
Prepare and communicate final benefits summaries.
Manage bi weekly exit interview survey analysis via SurveyMonkey for all TWG employees.
Complete Laserfiche forms for all corporate terminations.
Partner with managers to coordinate collection of company property and related offboarding tasks.
Employee Relations
Serve as first l evel contact for employee relations questions and concerns.
Conduct stay interviews to support engagement and retention efforts.
Lead 30/60/ 90 day new hire check - ins and provide follow-up support.
Assist in the performance management process, including documentation and coaching support.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in b usiness, h uman r es ources, or related experience
A minimum of 2-3 years of human resources experience
SHRM or HRCI certification a plus
Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Demonstrated proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office Suite required
Previous experience working in an HRIS system preferred
E ssential e xcellent communication skills, both written & verbal
Demonstrated community involvement desired
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage time well and meet deadlines as required

Basic understanding of state and federal laws
Eager and willing to learn!
Additional Job Requirements
Willing and able to travel to company location sites
Flexibility to be present and available for off-shift hours when necessary
Ability to work from a feed mill and/or in dusty conditions occasionally
Ability to lift up to 25lbs at times
