What your day looks like

Under general supervision, operate an electric walk behind pallet jack. When combos of product are filled remove the combos, using the electric pallet jack, from the production area to the shipping dock or staging area. Replace the combo removed with an empty combo so production can continue. Assembly cardboard combos and have them ready in advance. All other tasks as assigned by supervisor. Follows all USDA and Leidy SQF, HACCP, GMP requirements. Maintain and observe all safety rules and regulations at all times. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Specific Responsibilities

· Handle all products and equipment in a proper and safe manner.
· Follow all USDA and Leidy's SQF standards, safety rules, regulations, and guidelines.

· Keep pace with production levels and/or line speed.
· Remove combos from production area.
· Be conscious of proper yields and production standards.

Communicate any concerns to supervisor when necessary.

Who Are You

Must be able to follow directions, have basic math, communication, and interactions skills. Must be able to differentiate between products and specialty cuts or hog parts. Some functions require repetitive motion such as pinch & hard grasping. Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to pinch, grasp hard, perform fine manipulations repetitively, work on or near moving machinery. Must be able to occasionally bend, squat, twist and frequently reach. Must be able to continuously stand. Must be able to pass an electric pallet jack training program and operate safely. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to work overtime as required.
