What will you do:

The Director of FPA will lead the corporate financial planning and analysis function as well as establish standard FPA practices across business units. Overall, the responsibilities will include all elements of driving financial analysis to support the development of strategic plans and reporting to monitor results against strategic objectives. This role will lead the annual budgeting process across corporate functions and working with BU finance leaders. This role will create a forecasting process to include inputs from BU's and corporate functions. 

        Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Support the development of company strategy with financial analysis including evaluation of the current portfolio of subsidiary companies. Assess alternative strategic options to assist prioritization of investment.
  2. Lead the annual budgeting process which includes corporate functions and guiding business unit finance leaders.
  3. Lead and direct a regular consolidated forecasting process that incorporates BU inputs including a regular variance analysis to forecast.
  4. Lead and direct evaluation and analysis of proposed capital spending and investments to adequately substantiate ROI projections and assess prior capital spending against projections.
  5. Collaborate with Corporate treasury on scenario analysis and planning regarding the company's working capital, liquidity and debt covenant compliance.
  6. Develop financial reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors for regular meetings.
  7. Analyze operations and results to identify areas of potential margin enhancement or increased cost effectiveness. 
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Who are you:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or similar degree
  • Ten or more years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a corporate finance or accounting team, demonstrating competency and growth.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, focused on accuracy, timeliness, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills. 
  • Must be capable of both preparing and reviewing financial information.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI) and the business operating systems of WGP.
  • Comfort with extracting and analyzing data as well as building reports/models from that data to produce information and reporting useful in management decisions.
  • High sense of accountability and follow-through on commitments
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Strong business and commercial acumen, ability to understand and communicate the financial impact of the business strategy and develop operational plans to execute the strategy.
  • Continuous learning must be a priority of this role as market conditions are dynamic and the strategies deployed to be successful in different market environments are fluid and not fixed. A high degree of fluid intelligence is required to succeed in this role.
