POSITION SUMMARY:

The Compensation & Benefits Manager is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and administration of the organization's compensation and benefits programs. This role manages operational activities while contributing to strategic planning and program development. The incumbent ensures that all compensation and benefits programs remain competitive, compliant, cost effective, and aligned with organizational objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Compensation Program Management
  • Support the design, administration, and maintenance of compensation programs, including salary and incentive structures, job evaluations, and market benchmarking.
  • Conduct compensation analyses for promotions, internal equity reviews, and annual salary planning.
  • Partner with HR leadership to recommend compensation adjustments based on data insights and business needs.
  • Assist in developing compensation philosophy and policies, procedures, and communication materials.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations.


Benefits Administration & Oversight
  • Manage daily administration of employee benefits including health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), and wellness programs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for benefit inquiries, partnering with brokers and vendors to resolve issues.
  • Oversee benefit enrollments, life event changes, terminations, and vendor integrations.
  • Su pport the annual open enrollment process, including planning, communication, training sessions, and material updates.
  • Review and audit benefit deductions, vendor billing, and employee data integrity to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor and track FMLA, disability leave, and related documentation in partnership with third party administrators and Team Members.

HRIS, Data, and Reporting
  • Support HRIS maintenance for compensation and benefits data, ensuring accuracy across systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll, benefit platforms).
  • Develop and maintain compensation and benefits reports, dashboards, and data audits.
  • Assist with systems projects involving compensation, benefits, or HR technology improvements.

Compliance & Policy Management
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of compensation and benefit laws and compliance requirements.
  • Manage ACA reporting, nondiscrimination testing, and required government filings.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication of regulatory changes to HR leadership and employees.
  • Support policy reviews and recommend updates related to compensation, benefits, and leave management.

Team Member Support & Communication
  • Provide guidance to employees on compensation and benefit programs, policies, and processes.
  • Develop and deliver communication materials, presentations, and trainings related to total rewards.
  • Partner with HR team members on process improvements and service enhancements.

Vendor, Broker & Consultant Management
  • Assist with ongoing vendor relationships and performance evaluations.
  • S upport RFP processes, renewals, and cost analysis for benefit plans.
  • Coordinate meetings, data requests, and benefits strategy discussions.

Programs, Projects & Engagement
  • Wellness Champion- This role also provides strategic oversight of employee wellness initiatives, ensuring programs support a healthy, engaged workforce and are fully integrated into the organization's total rewards strategy.
  • Support Total Rewards Initiatives, events, and educational campaigns.
  • Assist with recognition programs, service awards, and benefit related employee engagement activities.
  • Pa rticipate in cross functiona l HR and organizational projects.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of progressive HR experience with a focus in compensation and/or benefits.
  • K nowledge of compensation principles, benefits regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Ex perience with HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • HR certification (CEBS, PHR/SPHR, SHRM CP/SHRM SCP preferred.
