Position Summary

This position is responsible for leading the purchase administrative, accounting, management reporting, and analysis functions for Wenger Global Procurement (WGP). This position will lead the fiscal period close process for regular management reporting purposes for the WGP activities and be responsible for internal controls over financial reporting. This role will be a key business partner role to the Business Unit Leader and follow the Leader's direction for analysis projects and value-added tasks. This position is responsible for maximizing transactional process efficiency and accuracy for administrative functions within the business unit.

What will you do:

  • Compile, review and analyze financial and statistical data to provide information and support to WGP operational leaders. Partner with management in identifying opportunities for improvement of performance metrics.
  • Review processes for efficiency and effectiveness and implement process changes to administrative and accounting processes. Lead the accounting and administrative functions of the business unit in the execution of best in class processes relevant to the industry.
  • Lead annual budgeting process for WGP in collaboration with operational leaders. In addition to annual budgeting, develop a periodic forecast for the related segments.
  • Coach and develop designated team of financial and administrative professionals providing the support necessary to achieve goals and investing in their growth.
  • Lead physical inventory measurement and adjustment process each period with the relevant production facilities within the BU.
  • Oversee capital and working capital planning and spending process for WGP which includes analyzing, tracking, reporting and forecasting capital spend as well as ensuring compliance with capital asset policy.
  • Ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets and increase efficiencies. Seek opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve checks/balances. Facilitate the development, documentation, and implementation of enhanced processes.
  • Assist non-financial team members to better understand financial reporting, accounting concepts, and business performance.
  • Participate on committees or project teams as required or directed by the CFO.
  • Assist in collection and preparation of documentation requested for the annual outside audit.
  • Perform additional responsibilities within the department as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and five to seven years of experience.
  • CPA or CMA license preferred
  • Knowledgeable in US GAAP
  • Knowledge of mark to market accounting, hedge accounting, and basic understanding of commodity trading.
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem solving skills, and computer skills.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude.  Works well with finance and non-finance team members.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of organization, plans and executes work effectively, and able to work with confidential information.
