Job Summary


The Senior Human Resources Business Partner drives and supports the delivery of Human Resources services and solutions to designated global businesses.  Reporting to the Chief Human Resource Officer, this role serves as a critical advisor to business leaders with respect to employment and talent activities and aides in the compliance of company policies and procedures.  This role is a strategic thought partner who understands the business well enough to deliver customized talent solutions that are critical to achieving overall business goals.  The Senior HRBP will drive a strong culture of strategic and proactive international HR business partnering in the areas of company culture, employee and leader development, performance management, total rewards, talent planning and talent acquisition, HR compliance, workforce planning, organizational change management, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and more.


Essential Functions


Strategic HR Business Partnering:

  • Provide comprehensive HR support and leadership for domestic and global  businesses including employee and leader development, performance management, total rewards, talent planning and talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement and organizational design and change management.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of business trends and translate to proactive talent solutions that help drive business initiatives forward. This includes talent management leadership through talent review processes, workforce planning and design, and focused succession planning and development.

  • Collaborate closely with recruiters to provide proactive strategic thinking around organizational design and talent needs.

  • Engage as a strategic partner to leaders around organizational design and change management.

  • Develop relationships with leaders and employees across locations to facilitate and promote an environment that attracts and retains diverse talent. 

  • Foster and champion The Scoular Company culture within a global framework and ensure an inclusive approach to employee engagement and recognition.

  • Partner with business leaders to utilize Scoular compensation strategies and tools to apply within the supported businesses in the areas of base salary structures, incentive models and country compensation design.

  • Align with other HRBP’s, centers of expertise, and cross functional partners to drive consistent programs and best practices, optimize Scoular resources and create best in class experiences for managers and employees.

Employee Relations and HR Compliance:

  • Proactively partner with in country HR resources and legal partners to establish, execute and update required employment policies and practices as aligned to country labor law requirements. Proactively partner and support leaders to create a culture of compliance towards established work standards.

  • Provide expertise in conducting internal investigations and bring employment relation issues to resolution.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to business leaders regarding performance management and disciplinary action and terminations.  Conduct exit interviews and provide analysis of findings.

  • Analyze and present risk factors to business leaders when taking employment actions. Ensure appropriate processes are followed and compliance requirements with local and federal regulations are met.

  • Manage Scoular’s international assignment program in partnership with external partners to facilitate global talent deployment.


Employee Management and Development:

  • Provide consistent guidance and coaching to support aligned businesses for all HR activity.

  • Actively provide performance feedback and development planning to support employee growth and impact.


Other HR Projects and Initiatives:

  • Collaboratively develop and execute other HR projects and initiatives as needed to support overall business strategies.



  • Comprehensive knowledge of broad human resources programs and processes and basic employment law.

  • 6+ years of progressive human resources or related experience

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or related discipline.

  • Ability to respect confidentiality of employee information.

  • Strong customer service orientation and service leadership

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and employees.

  • Comfortable with conflict and strong conflict resolutions skills

  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and actively champion and lead organizational change including organization design and structure changes

  • Ability to influence and coach at all levels of the organization, including senior leaders.

  • Demonstrated business acumen

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to establish appropriate metrics and use data effectively to analyze issues, anticipate trends and make decisions

  • Ability to work independently and proactively identify, research and solve problems.

  • Excellent oral and written communications and presentation skills.

  • Ability to travel as required



  • Agribusiness industry experience.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production facility environment

  • Experience partnering with business leaders and employees in Mexico

  • PHR, SPHR or CEBS professional designation.
