The Merchandiser Assistant has primary responsibility for day-to-day accounting tasks as well as logistical support to the merchandising team. This includes proper control procedures including accounts receivable and payable as well as all company and division policies and procedures. The Merchandiser Assistant is responsible for supplier and customer management related to A/R and A/P including statement reconciliation, invoice management and serves as primary communications contact. Primary function of this role is to manage cash applications and payables in a systematic and timely fashion also allowing for maximum use of credit terms with vendors. The Merchandiser Assistant should exhibit excellent teamwork with other business units and employees and assist in training any new Merchandiser Assistants.
