Job Summary


The Brand Marketing & Corporate Communications (BMCC) Intern supports a variety of responsibilities within the brand, marketing and communications areas at Scoular. This role will be responsible for graphic design support, trade show coordination and Scoular Hub support. The BMCC intern co-reports to the Strategic Brand Manager and the Sr. Visual Communications team members.


Essential Functions


Graphic Design / Multimedia / Video Production

  • Works with BMCC team and internal customers to support business unit marketing, corporate marketing and internal communications efforts.

  • Creates on-brand visual communication pieces including brochures, ads, signs, digital assets, videos, PowerPoints, business templates, social media post design/production, etc.

  • Uses design software to layout the art and copy of marketing communication pieces, giving attention to size, type, size, style and related aesthetic concepts aligned with Scoular’s brand identity.

  • Collaborates with HR and other areas in development of the company’s recruitment collateral.

  • Capable of light copywriting and assistance in development of marketing and communication materials.

  • Ability to serve as a group proofreading/review resource for brand standards, design and content.

  • Responsible for creating engaging presentations of graphics and information for various media including the web, videos, digital application and company events.

Marketing Operations

  • Support execution of various customer marketing programs and campaigns

  • Lead execution support of industry trade shows working with various business units, customer marketing manager and visual communications to elevate Scoular’s presence at events

  • Support event execution such as ribbon-cuttings, promotional videos and harvest meetings

  • Hub intranet support

Brand Management and Hub Operations

  • Support development of corporate brand identity elements (fonts, colors, styles, graphics, etc.) to meet evolving needs based upon understanding of Scoular, its businesses and its brand identity


General Support

  • Produce deliverables using PowerPoint, Word and Adobe Creative Cloud programs (PS, AI, ID, etc. – or similar).

  • Works with agencies / vendors as needed.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned / needed, particularly in areas where creativity is valuable (ideations, naming, brainstorming, etc.)



  • Working towards Bachelor’s degree in design, art, marketing, communication or related field.

  • Excellent visual communication skills (graphics, infographics, videos, etc.)

  • Proficient knowledge of print/web standards and optimizing files / projects for both mediums.

  • Understanding of brand standards and brand management.

  • Classroom experience in developing marketing / communication related tactics (newsletters, brochures, tradeshows, presentations, proposals, events, social media, videos, etc.)

  • Excellent oral/written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Strong computer skills, including Adobe Creative Suite (or similar) and HTML / web design

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under time constraints

  • Proven skill in problem solving for the client


  • Agricultural or commodities industry experience

  • International / B2B marketing experience
