About the Role

Expedition Acres, located near Canton, Missouri, is HANOR’s dedicated breeding stock source, housing approximately 6,000 sows. This farm provides the genetic foundation for the HANOR system, multiplying and supplying high-quality breeding animals that directly impact performance across the company.

With a dedicated team, the Farm Manager at Expedition Acres is responsible for blending disciplined operational excellence with engaged, value-driven leadership daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily leadership for all farm operations, ensuring compliance with safety, animal welfare, biosecurity, and production protocols.
• Supervise Department Heads and Animal Production Specialists, setting clear expectations and holding employees accountable for their performance.
• Oversee breeding, gestation, farrowing, piglet care, and gilt development to achieve production goals.
• Monitor herd health and collaborate with Veterinary Services on treatment and prevention programs.
• Ensure accurate completion of production records and timely reporting of KPIs.
• Drive employee development through coaching, training, and daily engagement.
• Foster a positive and disciplined culture that models The HANOR Way.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 12 months of leadership experience as a Department Head; three years preferred for sow farm leadership.
• Demonstrated competency in Basic/Advanced Breeding and Farrowing (HANOR Production Practices or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of swine production, animal husbandry, and biosecurity practices.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop employees.
• Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
