About the Role

HANOR is seeking a Farm Manager to lead our 10,000 sow operation near Ames, Oklahoma. This role includes responsibility for 34 employees and daily oversight of the onsite maintenance team. The Farm Manager provides direction, sets expectations, and ensures production and leadership standards are consistently achieved.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership for all farm operations, ensuring compliance with safety, animal welfare, biosecurity, and production protocols.
  • Supervise Department Heads and Animal Production Specialists, setting clear expectations and holding employees accountable for their performance.
  • Oversee breeding, gestation, farrowing, piglet care, and gilt development to achieve production goals.
  • Monitor herd health and collaborate with Veterinary Services on treatment and prevention programs.
  • Ensure accurate completion of production records and timely reporting of KPIs.
  • Drive employee development through coaching, training, and daily engagement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 months of leadership experience as a Department Head; three years preferred for sow farm leadership.
  • Demonstrated competency in Basic/Advanced Breeding and Farrowing (HANOR Production Practices or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of swine production, animal husbandry, and biosecurity practices.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop employees.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
