Position Summary
This position is responsible for customer account management and coordinating and executing trading activities for assigned commodities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the buying and selling activities for assigned commodities
- Develop deeper understanding of supply and demand survey market conditions and analyze other economic forces in order to establish position in the market
- Initiate negotiate and agree on terms of commodity purchase/sale contracts such as price quality quantity transportation timing and payment
- Arrange efficient transportation of commodities both by truck and rail
- Ensure thorough and accurate follow-up execution and closure to all contracts
- Research and identify new customers and/or suppliers as well as develop and maintain regular communication to build and grow current customer relationships
- Analyze commodity markets to identify trading opportunities
- Gain basic understanding of arbitrage macro-environmental factors that impact the supply and demand of commodities and logistics process and decision making

Education & Experience
- Bachelorâs Degree required or the equivalent in work experience preferably in Agriculture Business Finance Economics or related major
- 2-5 yearsâ of experience required in commodity merchandising originations or trading
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

- Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
