Position Overview
This position is accountable for partnering with the business group to drive results through the effective use group human resources. The incumbent will collaborate with the group HR and corporate HR teams to provide a variety of services to support recruitment selection training learning/organization development employee relations compensation administration change management performance management and HR administration.
This role will be on a 14-month contract beginning in July 2025 and will end in September 2026. This role will be located in our Chatham Ontario office.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with managers to discuss staffing needs recommending suitable workforce strategies to drive success. Â
- Collaborate with corporate Talent Acquisition to recruit and select a qualified and diverse talent pool. ÂAlign newly recruited talent with the appropriate on-boarding process to foster cultural understanding engagement and compliance.
- Conduct and coach managers in conducting employee relations practices that are consistent with company philosophy and foster relations between all groups of employees and managers.Â
- Within the business group provide support for HR functions Benefits Compensation HRMS Talent OD & L&D. Answer employee or manager questions or refer to corporate HR or outsourced provider for issue resolution.
- Work with Training and Org Development to support employee development career paths and coach managers on management effectiveness.
- Assist with administration of the groupâs compensation succession planning and performance management processes to meet deadlines assuring alignment with the groupâs business objectives talent retention and company philosophy and practices.
- Function as an internal consultant within the region to assess the HR implications of various policies and programs and provide appropriate recommendations to drive success. Administer change management efforts to support new initiatives.
- Collaborate with Senior HR Manager on Labour Code/legislative updates and requirements
- Collect and analyze data for annual legislation reporting including but not limited to Employment Equity and Accessibility Act

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Bachelorâs Degree required
- 2-5 yearsâ relevant experience required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Workday/HRIS experience preferred
