As we focus on our goal of feeding and fueling the world we are seeking a Grain Quality Technician team. This position is responsible for assisting with the collection and testing raw materials and finished products and also managing the branch food safety program.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform activities associated with the collection preparation and testing of samples.
  • Document test results and identify issues or concerns. Provide basic recommendations or escalate for resolution.
  • Document and report finished product meets prescribed standards and specifications.
  • Assist in calibration of analytical instrumentation; maintain associated documentation.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge and adherence to all food safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform all tasks in a fashion that promotes the safety and quality of our products.
  • Actively participate in all required food safety and quality related meetings and training events.
  • Become HACCP and FSSC 22000 Certified for food safety
  • Train employees on food safety procedures.
  • Maintain the food safety program at the branch including documents and records
  • Complete facility inspections on a regular basis as per food safety program.
  • Assist in annual food safety third party audit.

  • Has developed proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
  • Completes a variety of atypical assignments
  • Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments
  • Works with a limited degree of supervision
  • Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience

 

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Associate Degree preferred
