As we continue to grow and evolve we are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Senior EHS Specialist at our Logansport IN Plant.

This position is responsible for identifying opportunities and driving improvement of Environmental Health & Safety EHS risk at the location level. This EHS Specialist in this role will work to implement programs processes and procedures within the Renewables business unit at our Logansport site. In this critical role you will lead initiatives to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations while fostering a culture of safety and sustainability. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background and a passion for creating a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for identifying opportunities and driving improvement of Environmental Health & Safety EHS risk at the location level. This role is corporate based working to implement programs processes and procedures within its respective business unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support locations in execution of EHS Management Systems Significant Injury and Fatality SIF initiatives and Life Critical Policies through education and training auditing coaching and leading.
  • Provide strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.
  • Assist with the development of business unit EHS policies and procedures.
  • Provide incident investigation support and lead those classified as Red Risk.
  • Ensure operations activities incorporate all necessary auditing monitoring reporting and inspections to comply with standards.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelorâs Degree required Masterâs Degree preferred
  • 5-10 yearsâ relevant experience required
  • Certified Safety Professional CSP Certified Industrial Hygienist CIH and/or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager CHMM certification preferred
  • 10 travel requirement

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

Work is performed in a 24x7 Ethanol production facility. This position involves frequent exposure to adverse weather conditions dirt dust fumes noise heights and intermittent lifting of heavy objects. Some work performed in heights. Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment PPE as required.
