Position Overview
This position is responsible for coordinating general laboratory operations assisting with the collection and testing raw materials and finished products as well as data analysis interpretation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform activities associated with the collection preparation and testing of samples.
- Coordinate daily laboratory operations with other lab staff.
- Coordinate with operations staff to support efficient product qualification.
- Maintain documentation associated with laboratory processes and operations.
- Utilize statistical and analytical tools to ensure reported data is technically sound and defensible. Â
- Plan and execute method development and validation studies.
- Work in teams to investigate issues and trends; develop and implement appropriate experimental designs corrective actions and preventive procedures.
- Document test results and identify issues or concerns. Provide basic recommendations or escalate for resolution.
- Document and report finished product meets prescribed standards.
- Assist in calibration of analytical instrumentation; maintain associated documentation.
- Monitor test and assist in the repair and maintenance of equipment and environmental systems if applicable.

- Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments
- Works with a limited degree of supervision
- Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Associateâs or Bachelor's Degree preferred Chemistry
- 3-5 yearsâ relevant experience required laboratory and leadership
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
- Working conditions include laboratory work as well as office work
- Must be able to sit/stand for an extended period of time
- Exposure to dust chemicals hazardous materials etc.
