Position Overview

Sales and relationship role responsible for establishing new accounts and maintaining and servicing existing accounts. This position gains and applies knowledge of turf industry products and services offered market trends gross profit and pricing to make recommendations to customers meet established sales/deal goals and gain new accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Locate evaluate and recruit potential customers/clients.
  • Serve customers address inquiries or forward to appropriate internal contact.
  • Inform customers of new product/service introductions and prices
  • Create monitor and revise lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline
  • Participate in marketing activities as needed
  • Manage administrative requirements of the position. Maintain data and resources that will serve to empower the incumbent as well as to inform the department through reporting or sharing of information.

  • Has general awareness of business financials products/services and the market
  • Complexity is limited territory/account products/services or sales process
  • Has very limited authority and opportunity to set and negotiate product/service terms
  • Relies on manager to provide planning and manage resources.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Bachelorâs Degree preferred
  • Agronomy degree and/or relevant experience strongly preferred
  • Turf fertilizer and/or wholesale distribution experience preferred
  • Turf/fertilizer sales experience strongly preferred
  • 1-3 yearsâ relevant experience required
  • Must have a valid Driverâs License
  • Must be able to drive for the company according to the Companyâs Vehicle Safety and Driver Qualification Policy
