Role Overview: As the Administrative Assistant, you will be an instrumental player on the Taurus Team & key in successfully providing a high level of service and satisfaction to our industry partners.
Working closely with the full Taurus Team, you will support the group with internal operations, be a part of the Accounts Receivables & Accounts Payables team, and lean into the heart of Taurus' story telling with Marketing.
Core Administrative Responsibilities:
Orders & Invoicing: Entering Customer Orders & submitting Purchase Orders to Suppliers (Clients) to be filled, as well as processing invoices, both Supplier Purchase Invoices & Customer Invoices, utilizing Tronia Systems' agre & SalesForce.
Internal Administrative Tasks: Such as reconciling & processing team credit cards.
In addition to core administrative responsibilities, this role will assist the Marketing department with administrative support tasks including:
Trade Show Preparation: Supporting the coordination of tradeshow materials, including ordering signage and promotional items, managing shipping logistics, organizing booth kits, and ensuring team travel and accommodations are confirmed.
Campaign Execution Logistics: Assisting with the preparation and distribution of marketing campaign materials such as printed one-pagers, promotional mail-outs, and ensuring timelines and inventory are tracked and organized.
Internal Meeting Coordination: Helping plan and prepare for internal sales meetings and team events by booking venues, printing materials, organizing agendas, and managing supplies, catering, and travel accommodations as needed. Taking notes during weekly internal team meetings.
General Project Assistance: Assisting with organizing marketing projects by researching and helping ensure materials and deadlines are ready on time.
Term: 1 year contract (potential to extend) | Region: Alberta, remote position
Education: Diploma/Degree
Travel Requirement: Bi-annually for team meetings, training sessions as required & to tradeshows as planned with the Marketing Manager.
Skills Required: Understanding of and training in Canadian agriculture - specifically crop production, administrative & customer service expertise, strong communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional attention to detail, adaptable, self-starter, self-motivated, engaged, team player.
Experience Required: Previous experience in the agriculture industry; understanding of crop inputs from a retailer/wholesaler perspective; previous administrative experience - accounts receivables/payables, previous utilization of Tronia Systems' agre, DocuSign, SalesForce would be considered an asset.
